No. Our parent consultation and coaching service is private pay and is not traditional occupational therapy treatment, so we do not bill insurance.
Working outside of insurance allows us greater freedom and flexibility to tailor our support to your family’s unique needs. We aren’t limited by insurance requirements or having an insurance company dictate what care is covered, how often we can meet, or what goals we address. This allows us to focus on practical, individualized strategies that are meaningful and effective for your family.
We provide receipts for services, which you may submit to your HSA or FSA for potential reimbursement. Coverage and eligibility vary by plan, so we recommend checking with your specific HSA/FSA administrator.
No. Parent consultation and coaching services are different from direct pediatric occupational therapy treatment. Rather than working directly with your child, these sessions focus on helping parents understand their child’s unique needs and learn practical strategies to support their development and participation in everyday activities.
This approach is beneficial because it provides more opportunities to practice skills throughout the day, within the child’s natural environment and daily routines. When parents consistently incorporate strategies into everyday life at home, children have more opportunities to build skills, generalize what they’ve learned, and make meaningful, lasting progress.
Not necessarily. Every child’s needs are different. Parent consultation and coaching may be appropriate on its own for children who can benefit from changes and support within their everyday routines and environment. For children who need more direct, hands-on support to develop specific skills, direct occupational therapy may also be recommended. We can help you determine which approach—or combination of approaches—best fits your child’s needs and goals.
Yes! Our parent consulting and coaching services can be a great complement to your child’s existing occupational therapy. These sessions focus on helping you understand your child’s needs and giving you practical strategies to use at home and within everyday routines. We can help you build on what your child is already working on in therapy, create more opportunities for practice and carryover at home, and, when appropriate, collaborate with your child’s therapy team to support consistency across settings.
Yes! You don’t need to have a specific concern about your child to benefit from parent consultation and coaching services. This can be a wonderful resource for new and expecting parents, as well as seasoned parents who want to better understand and support their child’s development.
This service is a great way to learn more about your child’s expected developmental milestones, better understand their unique growth and development, and feel confident supporting them along the way. Together, we can identify potential concerns early if they arise and explore practical, nurturing strategies to foster your child’s learning, development, and overall well-being.
We ask that children not be present during virtual parent consulting and coaching sessions. Sessions can be lengthy and difficult for children to sit through without interruptions. More importantly, we’ll be discussing your child’s developmental needs, challenges, and areas of difficulty, which may be uncomfortable or upsetting for them to hear.
When possible, we recommend arranging childcare or setting your child up with an engaging activity in another room so you can participate fully and openly.
A Package is a good option if you have a specific challenge or area of concern you want to work through with your child. We’ll focus on that concern, create a plan, and work toward meaningful progress. It is a one-time investment with a concrete end date.
A Monthly Membership plan is a good option if you want ongoing support as you navigate supporting your child's development and needs. Membership includes continued coaching, accountability, guidance, resources, and the added benefit of real-time text messaging support as new challenges come up. It’s a recurring monthly investment with no set end date.
Still not sure which is right for you? Not to worry. As we get started, we will assess your family's individual needs and determine which option is the best fit for you.
You’re always welcome to book and pay for individual sessions as needed.
That said, if you’re looking to make meaningful, lasting progress, working together consistently and on a regular schedule can be much more beneficial and a greater return on your investment than booking sessions sporadically. Regular engagement allows us to build momentum, stay accountable, adjust as we go, and create a more consistent path toward your family's goals.
Packages and Memberships are designed for those who want that ongoing consistency, while also offering the opportunity to save compared with booking individual sessions. Membership also includes the added benefit of real-time text messaging support between sessions, giving you access to ongoing guidance, accountability, and support when you need it most.
No. The Maintenance Membership is specifically designed for families who have not only completed a package or membership but also have a strong understanding of the strategies and tools needed to support their child at home and have met their initial goals.
It’s a great, affordable option for families who have completed the program but would still like ongoing guidance, support, and accountability rather than ending services altogether. The Maintenance Membership provides a way to stay connected and continue building on the progress your family has already made.
Real-Time Text Messaging Support is a benefit available exclusively to families enrolled in a membership plan. It gives parents a convenient, secure way to reach out with questions, concerns, or requests for support when they need it most.
Our messaging service is HIPAA-compliant, helping protect your family’s privacy while allowing you to communicate with us securely and in the moment. We will do our best to respond as quickly as possible; however, response times may vary depending on availability and the nature of the request. Messages received during business hours will receive a response within 6 hours. Messages received after-hours or on weekends will receive a response by the next business day.
Some questions or concerns may require more time and attention than can reasonably be provided through text messaging. If a request is likely to take more than 20 minutes to address thoroughly, we may recommend scheduling a Mini Strategy Session instead. This allows us to give your family the time, attention, and thoughtful support needed to adequately address your concerns.
We understand that life happens. Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice when canceling or rescheduling an appointment. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice, as well as missed appointments without notice, are subject to the applicable cancellation fee outlined in your intake paperwork before services begin.
You may cancel your Membership at any time. We simply require 30 days’ notice prior to cancellation.
